Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God¡¯s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

There is another great opportunity for you to become a missionary for a year. You can take this opportunity by applying to become a short term missionary who not only ministers but also teaches English in Korea for more than one year.

As English ability is one of the key factors to one¡¯s career success in Korea, a lot of students and adults are eager to be fluent in English and seeking better opportunities for learning English.

It is reported that more than 60,000 foreign teachers are needed in private institutes and public schools in Korea annually to meet the demands of the English learners. Every year thousands of foreign teachers from English spoken countries such as the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa visit Korea to take these positions. Although Korea Immigration Office has a system to screen the visa applicants, it is not thorough enough to examine their drug use and criminal records.

So it is inevitable that unqualified teachers can be accepted to the Korean educational system. Moreover, it has often been reported that substantial numbers of them not only lack enough ability to teach English but also are involved in drugs and inappropriate sexual relationship.

Even some of them would speak in public that their purpose of visiting Korea is to entertain themselves with drugs and sex. Needless to say, most of them are atheist.

Any faithful Baptist who has a bachelor¡¯s degree and wants to serve others can apply for this opportunity to serve and work as an English teacher in Korea.
