Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

"It will serve as a bridge between the churches in Korea and in the States, which enables the exchange of both local and missionary news in each country."
The Korea Baptist Press, the official newspaper of the Korea Baptist Convention, which greeted its 50th anniversary in September of 2005, opens its branch office in Dallas. The Korea Baptist Press delivers a variety of news from Baptist communities in Korea and the States weekly with the circulation of 15,000.
The branch office in the States will serve as a bridge to connect Korean Baptist churches closer with American, while supporting the programs providing religious and cultural exchange opportunities to Baptist communities.
The Korea Baptist Convention currently has 3,000 churches and 700,000 members, and is also associated with more than 700 Korean Baptist churches in the States. It has grown over the past 50 years in collaboration with Southern Baptist Convention to send 500 missionaries annually all over the world. This sending number means currently every six Baptist church in Korea sends a missionary abroad, and proves that Korean Baptist churches have grown enough to do cooperative missionary works with American brothers.
The Korea Baptist Press has taken the lead in evangelizing North Korea with the help of many reputable pastors and some churches in Korea, while providing medicines and medical equipments to it and trying to establish general hospitals in some of major cities in it.
Such efforts inspired other major churches to support this and resolute to provide financial aid through fundraising for more efficient and professional evangelization in North Korea. As a result of their efforts, a non profit organization named Global Baptist Mission Fund Korea was inaugurated last October in Seoul and started its long journey to evangelizing North Korea.
Its executive committee realized the need for the solid relationship with international Baptist communities, and has established an internationally united organization tentatively named as Global Baptist Mission International to seek American brothers¡¯ cooperation. Being an actively involved member of GBMF, the Korea Baptist Press is endeavoring for GBMF to acquire support from American brothers, while contacting the Baptist Standard, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, Southern Baptist Convention, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Bible Baptist Church and American Baptist.
Distributing a weekly newspaper to Korean Baptist communities, it will release the special editions in English often on an as-needed basis. In addition, it will support GBMF to get helps from American Baptist communities, establish an international organization to promote the missionary campaign in North Korea, and continue to work with other programs providing both missionary and cultural exchange opportunities.
